Modern History
Modern history refers to history after the Middle Ages and covers the period from the turn of the 15th century onwards although many events which are closely associated with the beginning of a new era took place in the mid-15th century and early 16th century. Modern history is traditionally subdivided into early modern period (from around 1500 to 1800) and late modern period (after around 1800) which also includes contemporary history covering events immediately relevant to the present time.
