Ancient history covers the period from the emergence of the earliest civilizations to the fall of the Roman Empire traditionally dated to 476 AD when the last Western Roman Emperor was deposed by the Germanic military leader Odoacer. Many secrets and mysteries of the ancient world have been revealed but there are still many left to be uncovered.
